A look at the generation gap featuring Sonoma County youngsters and oldsters

In 2005, the Imaginists were awarded a community building grant by the Healdsburg Area Fund of Community Foundation Sonoma County to fund The Living Theater Project, which explored the lives, histories, thoughts, dreams and memories of our area’s youth and elders, addressing the “generation gap.” An ensemble of area youth and seniors came together to create an original piece of theater incorporating material gathered from our community, as well as material generated by the ensemble through group improvisations around common themes affecting young and old people. The resulting performances, humorous and poignant, had a power and relevance felt by the whole community. This project became the impetus to create a yearly community based theater project.
