The A Space is the home of the Imaginists Theatre Collective. We occupy the front half of a thirties-era quonset hut that in its former life was an auto shop. A Space is also home to ARTery Artstart invisible gallery and will be a home for the cultural arts, catering to new and innovative performance.
A Space is located at 461 Sebastopol Avenue in Santa Rosa in the heart of the Santa Rosa Arts District and are part of the A Street Arts Alliance.

| by Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill Adapted by the Imaginists Teen Ensemble  January 16, 17, 18, 22, 23, & 24 All shows at 7 p.m. except Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Threepenny Opera Set in the slums ruled by poverty, corrupt business practices, and biased justice, the play focuses on the stories of the working class. The protagonist is Macheath, a gentlemanly young criminal. Macheath (Mackie Messer, or Mack the Knife) marries Polly Peachum. This displeases her father, who controls the beggars of London, and he endeavours to have Macheath hanged. But his moves are hindered by the fact that the chief of police, Tiger Brown, is Macheath's childhood friend. Still, Peachum exerts his influence and eventually gets Macheath arrested and sentenced to hang. The play challenges conventional notions of property as well as those of theatre. It asks the central and highly political question, "Who is the bigger criminal: he who robs a bank or he who founds one?" |
